In 1982 Atmosfear hit their high-water mark with the release of the underground classic, "Extra Special". A great switch from their jazz-funk origins, this boogie track featuring the sublime vocals of Beverley Skeete is a prime example of an innovative band at their apex.

The best version for me! Got a chance to get a very cheap copy few years ago in a Record fair in London.

What is different with this A side to the issue copy? This version is 2.5 minutes longer it seems.

The version on the A side of the "regular" 12" is, as far i can see, an edited version of the one contained in this promo 12", with some instumental parts and echoes cutted out. There is a video (with poor audio) on youtube, i will try to add to the video list.Also the b side is totally different to the "wet mix", with more instumental parts and echoes too. And no youtube video :(

Xtra Special mix on B side is not the same as Wet Mix on B side of official release. It is more instrumental with reverb/echo on some parts and only a bit of chorus vocal.
