Notes

UK promo-only issue with the unique catalog # DURX 1 printed on the label and a conventional Polydor catalog # POSPX 285 machine-stamped into the dead wax. Factory-stamped poly-lined inner sleeve only. No outer sleeve. This is the only known Polydor red label promo-only UK 12" from the 1970s-1980s club/disco 12" era.

The version of Spasticus Autisticus on this promo 12" is the LP version, not the "Version" club mix that was released on the B side of the UK, French and Canadian 12's.

This is a the only known Polydor red label promo-only UK 12" from the 1970s-1980s club/disco 12" era. It has a unique release # DURX1 printed on the label and a conventional catalog # POSPX 285 machine-stamped into the dead wax. Polydor ended-up releasing Spasticus Autisticus in the UK on a 12" but not Trust Is A Must, and the UK release was a black label French pressing inside a UK sleeve with a small "Made In The U.K." sticker on the sleeve.

Yes, all of the top DJs in New York City played the club mix "Version" of Spasticus Autisticus on the UK 12", which was really a French pressing in a UK sleeve, but you want this UK promo-only 12" for Trust Is A Must, which was more of a Kenny Carpenter record at Bond's and several mid-size underground disco/new wave/aternative clubs in NY City.

Nice detailed notes on a one off 12" Larry used to beat into our heads at the almighty "G' Although i think he rocked the Long "Version" copy. Then again with Larry it was always different,he had reels, test, acetates, and masters.
