Miwon - Pale Glitter mp3 album

I've been listening to a promo of this album for several days now and can honestly say it's one of the most refreshing electronic records I've ever heard. Hendrik Kröz aka Miwon has put together a stunning collection of ambient textures, glitches, pounding floor-fillers and anthemic melodies. Anyone who caught the Brother Mole 12" should know it's just one of many highlights on this disc. The most impressive aspect of Pale Glitter is how the music is both clasically pleasing in a pop sense but also distinctly innovative and 'new' - if Ulrich Schnauss and Autechre got locked in a bunker for a few months they might be able to come up with something like this, maybe. But the tracks on offer here are distinctly unique rather than a cheeky distillation of other artists' output. Keep your eyes peeled for Miwon, he's obviously going places.
