Same. My copy is clean. Given my experience with Anti, however, I am not surprised that others are getting noisy copies.

These are the worst, noisiest releases I have ever paid good money for. Total crap. I expected better from Tom, who is uncompromising about protecting the quality and integrity of his music. Impurities galore in pretty, delicate and quiet songs. Distracting. All three RSD Orphans releases. A few of the sides are OK.

The European releases are flat. quiet & sound great. They got the red & blue colours the wrong way round to what was advertised but very happy with the EU releases..

Brawlers: NOISE .. Bawlers: NOISE.. Bastards: NOISE... Such a shame,.. We are talking about a major artist , doesn’t he have a say on who does the pressing of his work. If I was a Tom Waits, I would make sure that my art is respected by getting a decent pressing at a plant who cares about quality..PALLAS, QRP, OPTIMAL...what’s the point in revisiting the entire catalog if it’s going to be pressed poorly. Tom Waits' heart and soul deserves to be listened the way he wanted it to be.

No, artists do not have any say in where or how the vinyl is pressed unless they do it themselves. It's the labels that suck

Mine all play pretty well after a vacuum machine cleaning. I feel the cardboard sleeves leave a lot of debris.

Ae expected, another poor job from ANTI. Noisy as hell just like every Tom Waits ANTI pressing I own. Fortunately, the mastering sounds great, but they seriously need to change where they get their records pressed.

I was worried after reading all this, Ive had my copy for about a week (I got one a bit early..) but hadn't gotten around to playing it until today. There IS a bit of surface noise on side 1 track 1 for me, but the rest of the pressing is very good. Im using a Rega RP3 with an Ortofon Blue (which CAN be a bit unforgiving), and I cleaned the vinyl on an Okki Nokki before spinning it.

Same problem here with crackling on all 3. Very disappointed but I suppose not surprised. I'm finding so many issues with these colored/marble vinyls. More importantly, I'm finding them on Tom's new reissued LPs. Surprised Kathleen and him are allowing this type of quality for their music. And also, these LPs were expensive!

agree, it's pure pot luck with ANTI re-releases. sent a load of scratched copies back to Germany recently...but they couldn't see the scratches!!!
