his first collaboration and a sweet blend of ambient flow out of those geniuses.great masterpiece !

An odd dud amongst mostly reputable and respected releases from the Touch label. This collaboration nearly seems a bit obligatory... considering the increased attention noise, drone, microsound and "modern composition" were receiving at the time. Sakamoto had experienced renewed wide acclaim due to his Alva Noto collaborations, and one with a both contradictory and complimentary electronic artist such as Fennesz seemed to make sense. However, the sounds on this record meander and don't arrive at any conclusion or purpose. It is a "nice" release, but its dynamism doesn't extend beyond that.
