Genius reworking of Lou's classic ode to the Warhol scene of '60s New York. The song namechecks many of Warhol's superstars like 'Little' Joe Dallesandro, Candy Darling, Jackie Curtis and Holly Woodlawn.From her reading of the piece Gerty appears to be unaware of these characters... and, indeed, completely unaware of the correct pronunciation of 'doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo' (as in what the coloured girls sang). Her heavy German accent turns the song into a lugubrious parody of the finest quality.
