Notes
"Back in 2003 I decided to relocate from a bedroom studio to a steel shipping container on an industrial estate in Wimbledon, London. I called this the Funk Vault and all my productions from that point were 'Produced @ The Funk Vault. England'."It was a great time and a very thriving underground breaks scene where i met a whole heap of amazing vocalists, rappers and producers. I started inviting these people to the studio to collaborate as I had always been a fan of albums by Leftfield, Massive Attack, Zero 7 etc where their were different vocalists throughout the album.
"I got approached by a big indie dance label and they wanted me to make a slightly more cross over album, which i believe I did!! Although I am hugely proud of 'Audio Damage' as it is in it's classic form, I was working on various club collaborations and wanted to expand on the album and include a lot of this material but sadly the label weren't feeling these tracks (label politics!). Some of these were featured on various DJ Mix and pressed as limited one off vinyl releases! After loads of pissing around the label decided to release the album in 2006 which I felt sadly was a little too late as it was way more innovative at it's time of completion around the end of 2003! But, that was a lesson learned and 15 years on I present to you......
"Audio Damage [Expanded Edition] which really captures the essence of the scene and sound I was producing and wrapped up in between 2003 & 2008! I hope you enjoy it!!
