Picked up a red copy for $25 on amazon, stoked!

Beware of buying "SEALED" red variants. There is literally no way of differentiating between the black and red copies by looking at the cover. I know this because I've personally purchased and opened two red copies and three black copies over the past year.

I got the red version of this. Unfortunately, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. As much as I hate to say it, the CD sounds better. My copy has absolutely no highs in it at all. I know it's not my turntable as my other records sound great. Same for "Metal Resistance" I'm afraid :~(

The black vinyl also sounds bad or is just a red vinyl problem?Any pressing better than others?

Metal Resistance is definitely much worse in sound quality versus the debut album. I upgraded my turntable to an Ortofon 2M Blue phono cartridge recently and it helped the original Babymetal album sound much better. Metal Resistance still remains flat in sound in comparison unfortunately.

I agree. I think Metal Resistance is worse out of the two. I'd still rebuy though if they remastered it properly and released it with the Japanese limited edition CD cover. Giant text for cover art is always lame.

I don't think I have heard a record this experimental and interesting since Enigmas 1st with the Gregorian monks world phenomenon, this is my favorite band for the time being and for a long time to come for bringing som energy into the world of metal and the world of music... A crossover act as good as if Kylie Minogue would make a record with Slipknot; maybe some interest in the japanese culture might help or for some earlier asian HR/HM bands, with the tradition of clean sounding music and freshness; tracks 2, 11, 13 &14 being personal favorites...good luck with the Olympics 2020...you're already winners ahead of your time as always!

Barnes and noble is selling LPs for $25. What's the deal? Why is there such a price difference?

This one is the original Japanese release (you can identify it with the 'code' on the spine which every Japanese media release has (DVD, CD, vinyls,...), in this case it's "TFJC-38024"). It had a limited run and the MSRP was 4730 yen ($42) + all the additional costs that come with importing it. It was also pressed in Japan.The 'cheaper' one is (I assume) made in the US, released in the US only and was released a bit later.I personally imported the Japanese version from Japan, and it's one of the flattes lp's in my colleciton, no warp at all. The sound quality is also pretty decent (given the source material), and next to no pops on the entire album. The pressing is A+++

i find that very weird as the album was only sold from selection licensed companies such as CdJapan.. this was told to be by several companies that, HMV being one of them.

I think an American re-release came out not too long ago. This one is expensive because it's a Limited Edition Japanese release. Also, it's the original pressing.

This is the Japanese release. the Us release is the transparent red colored vinyl edition.

Wait, I thought this was going to include Road of Resistance?!

Well, it's now been announced it'll be the opening track of the new album, so I'm not mad anymore

I guess the announcements I'd seen mistakenly copied the RAL CD tracklisting expecting it to be the same for the vinyl

Same as Japanese version track listing. No bonus songs at all. Only difference is red vinyl.

Question !! : have any insert with it ??? , poster , lyric etc .. ?

None of them exists. Just non-lyric gatefold sleeve and anti-static inner bags (with no paper sleeve).

Does anyone know the number of copies made?

This copy is an another version of their first release sold for fan club member only in the past, including another take of "Akatsuki" and "Song for 4". Those two tracks are only available in this release. Other tracks are all the same as the one in their first commercial / official release.
