Both pieces were recorded live in the old Philharmonic Hall in Berlin. Symphony No. 9 was recorded in March 1942 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Bruno Kittel Chorus, and the St. Antoni Variations were recorded in December 1943.Liner notes by Paul J. Minchin
