Wild Python
Another great RHK album, where you're not quite sure why you like it so much, but you just do. Quite downtempo, like a follow up to his albums on Warp Records, with nice samples and great cover art by the man and Phil Wolstenholme. If you search Richard H Kirk at http://drinkify.org/, a website dedicated to generating "the perfect* cocktail recipe to accompany any music", you get the answer "4 oz. Marijuana", which personally i find quite apt! The inside cover here reads "Until the colour of a man skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes". Word to that Mr Kirk.
Goldenfang
"Al Jabr" is Arabic word from title of the earliest algebra (al-jabr) book written by by the Islamic Persian mathematician Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, in 820. Another good work of Richard H. Kirk! If you like his early Warp releases or what he do as Sandoz, this album is what you need. Intelligent techno combined with african tribal drums and elements of dub. The main track of the album of course is "Kaleidoscope", feel it, listen it, deep electronic music for body and soul.
