Way back in 1980, I was discussing this single with my nephew. "The Beat? Another new single? They just did 'Tears of a clown', didn't they?""No, that's the English Beat. This is the American Beat."I remember liking this band better than the U.K. one. Nevertheless, this single was re-released in the Netherlands under the artist name "Paul Collins' Beat" to avoid confusion. At the same time, the American market rebranded the U.K. ska revival band as "The English Beat".
