A1) Some Artists & releases define a genre - this EP is one of them...if you wish a shining example of 1993 UK darkside, then 'Warped Kore' is certainly one to consider, right from it's layered & finely chopped amens, right through to it's tearing hoovers & dark synths that just roll in & out of pure darkness with just a touch of vocals to keep you on edge. AA1's 'Smokin' is a ragga bass-heavy number that only kicks in halfway through the track, generally sounding akin to Formation releases mid-92. AA2's 'Power (Herb Mix)' is a stripped back version of the main mix, winding down into synths instead of hoovers, but still with all the speed of this classic period but with slightly more bass backing.
