An amazing album, beautifully presented with informative sleeve notes and photos however.... for some reason the sound quality on side B is distinctly muffled compared to the CD version of the same tracks (WNO 2001) It sounds the same on the bandcamp page too so doesn't appear to be a defect in my copy.

More copies coming very very soon. If any pop up for 50 euros or something stupid the sake of saving your self a week please do not pay it. It is not meant to be limited. Music for the people!

Nice release in terms of packaging, with a printed inner full of notes, and sound in general (just some clics here and there). But I have to report that Voices theme sounds almost terrible to me: maybe it’s intended or it is due to the bad live recording, but this particular song is full of reverb and noise up in the front for its main part, like a disturbing echo of electricity, leaving the drums in the back, barely audible. I don’t have the original pressing so I can’t state any conclusion, but what it’s sure is that is not my copy, as the mp3 that I was gifted with sounds exactly in the same way (well, much bad indeed, per compression). Have anyone else detected this? If there is someone that possess the original LP, I’d appreciate his or her comments even more. Thanks!

Hi John, and congratulations for your work on the sleeve’s notes.I meant the percussion work when referring to “drums”, sorry for the confussion. Clicks are less important for me than that reverberation I was talking about. I gave the vinyl a clean and listen to it again yesterday but it was still there, as it must be part of the recording process. I could live with it and appreciate the quality music on the other songs, but it is far from being perfectly captured on the recording from my perspective, above all in this particular song.BR.

Hi Doelector,I don't recall clicks on the test, must check the issued record, altho' it should theoretically be indentical...... I'll flag this with the label. I'm the sleeve-note writer. There aren't any drums anywhere on the album, I guess you'd be referring to the naturally percussive work of Mike's chopsticks. The original is pretty wild sonically anyway too; I guess MOS is much in parts like a dub record..... There were two passes at mastering from two different originals, the masters being long lost to history........Many ThanksJohn

Its worth pointing out that there is another Michael O Shea with an album called Journeys and is no relation to this, just to avoid confusion.

This obscure album is produced by members of the British band Wire. They did use the Dome label for some bizarre outlet, strange and interesting stuff.
