love GBV and don't want to discourage people from supporting them but... let's be honest, a mishmash section of b sides from a mishmash band like GBV was never meant to be listened to on an $18+ vinyl LP. A few great tracks, but this is cassette pop rock through and through, and nothing wrong with that. Impulsive/regrettable expensive purchase.

I think the tracks on this blow away anything off their first 4 lps as several were meant to be on back to Saturn x which would have been a top 5 gbv release for sure! Also, $18 is nothing for a vinyl release these days. Super joe, fantasy creeps, squirmish frontal and crutch came slinking are all brilliant tracks and there is so much more here.

Much of this material was also included on "Bee Thousand (The Director's Cut)". The mastering on this pressing seems superior to the version released in "Box" or the 2005 issue. Remarkably bright and balanced signal with present low end considering the sources from well worn cassettes.

A message on the unfortunately now offline Scat Records website specified that this reissue was pressed from the same metal master as the Box version as they felt it sounded good, while Bee Thousand's cut was lacking and as such was remastered by John Golden:https://web.archive.org/web/20180307063159/http://scatrecords.com/The website going offline seems to make prospects look grim in regard to reissues of Propeller and Vampire on Titus in the near future :( Though good news is that GBV Inc. is doing Speak Kindly.. and Kid Marine next year
