What evidence is there that this is a New Zealand release? I have this single myself and there is no reference to New Zealand anywhere on the sleeve or the label. The only reference to a country is on the back cover which states "249 Pitt Street, Sydney". This is the green label version, not the purple label version referred to here: https://www.discogs.com/Smiths-How-Soon-Is-Now/release/3115378

The Aussie release for this single has purple labels with white text. The nzl label has traditional green and redbowler hat man.

The picture shows a NZ pressed record. You can tell from the label design...Aussie pressings just look different. NZ sleeves (and sometimes labels) often just copied Aussie ones...same print and all, but they were made in NZ. Not hard evidence but it is true. You just need to get familiar with the differences to tell.
