Anthony Braxton / John Lindberg - Six Duets mp3 album

An interesting duo between the free legend on the Saxophone, Anthony Braxton, and the not so well known John Lindberg. There's a lot of free jazz elements in these recordings but for the most part I found this one of the easier Braxton albums to listen to. Mainly cause there's only two instruments but also because there's some Bop movements at times as well. There's not just a straight edge free movement of sound on here. Track Composition No 23J especially. John breaks down on a fairly predictable bass pattern while Anthony horns away. Probably my favorite on the disc, the bass solo on this one is amazing too! Further adding to the Bop feel is that all the tracks are fairly short for free jazz standards so this is a great beginners disc for those new to free jazz I think. The two bonus tracks aren't really anything special but they are nice versions.
