Notes
<< In late 2014 I had the idea to create a series of 10 singles with each an A- and B-side. This release passed almost unnoticed when it came out in January 2015, as I did almost not promote it at all.Around one year later the tracks came to my mind again, I listened and still loved them, so I decided to remaster and reissue the full package of 20 tracks on one compilation album.
Furthermore I created a mix of my favorites, directly to tape, then back into the laptop for mastering and dubbed back onto tape, limited to 5 DIY dubbed, packed and handnumbered releases.
The tape edition works as a techno mixtape in the classical sense, for car rides, dark nights and damned to be worn out after years of noodling it on the way back home in the morning hours after a long rave.
Here´s the original release note:
“Dreifalt” was born out of pure love for conceptual work. I always had in mind to create a series of ten singles, each one building on the former. For that purpose I created this Alter Ego.
Considering that conceptual/serial releases have been done before, for example by Wolfgang Voigt as “Studio 1″ or Richie Hawtin in the “Concept 1″ series of course this is not a new idea. It can be seen more as a deeply respectful and admiring reminiscence to everyone who has walked this road in techno before I did.
Concerning my approach I would like to mention that I built a studio environment as a starting point in which I created the first track, “1A”.
After this was done I saved the finished track a second time, as “1B” and started to modify it, then saved it as “2A”.
The process went on like this until “10B” which marks the ending point and is also the point at which everything I wanted to say as “Dreifalt” was said.
