Right of the bat, the first group they reminded me of is Chris & Cosey, a duo I have been very fond of since the early 80's. This album is very good and is the first of theirs I've come across. I look forward to hearing more from their catalog!

A recent resurgence of analog synth experimentation in the last few years became a type of movement, pockets of this exist throughtout the planet, one of the onclaves is Weird Records. The label has gathered many audio freaks of all sorts to flesh out the new analog synth underground artist scene into a "movement". Through the label is how I first came across this amazing artist duo, and when this album came out I was ready. Sentinelle is both futuristic and eerie sounding. It has shades of what has come before, specifically an underground 80s DIY sound, nodding to the early British Synth pop experimentalists. The duo's voices are a perfect meld to the analog synths. my favorite tracks are those that have that odd touch of sadness.
