The 3 bonus tracks on this cd actually make this a collector's item for Anita Ward fans. These 3 tracks, recorded in 1980, are the songs that Frederick Knight produced for a third album that was never completed. Frederick Knight had previously wrote the song RING MY BELL for a young up & coming singer named Stacy Lattisaw, but she turned it down, so Frederick talked Anita into recording it and he put it on Anita's first 45 7" single "Make Believe Lovers", released in 1978 before the debut album came out, as the b-side. Radio stations played "Ring My Bell" instead and that's how the song took off. She hated disco and was not happy with the success of "Ring My Bell" because by 1979 disco was on the way out and she feared she would become a one-hit wonder. Unfortunately, Frederick put another disco song on her second album "Don't Drop My love", which bombed and after recording 3 more songs for a third album, she gave up and refused to record any more dance songs. She wanted to be an R&B singer, along the lines of an early Anita Baker. Unfortunately for her, she was also in a bad car wreck that kept her from touring for quite awhile. So she went through the nightmare of contractual disputes with Frederick Knight and T.K. Records. In 1989 she recorded her third album, recorded in the USA, but only released in Italy in 1990 due to not finding a USA distributor, called "Wherever There is Love", but the only track released "Be My Baby" failed to chart. In 2007 she re-recorded "Ring My Bell" for the millionth time, and on that cd-single she had 3 remixes of that plus a new recording- a remake from 1978 "I Love The Nightlife (Disco 'Round)" by Alicia Bridges. In 2011, she recorded "It's My Night" produced by Gilflo, and in 2013 she contributed 2 tracks to the "Disco Tribute To Donna Summer" album- "Bad Girls" and "Love Is in Control (Finger On The Trigger)".
