Terr
Nice record. Average sales price on discogs is about $27 which is a fair price for this test press.
The Apotheoses of Lacspor
A great track ruined by putting a complete new swingbeat-styled vocal over it by some sexually frustrated saddo called Lathun... "Play at your own risk, play naked with me..." and things like that, sounds really lame! Sorry Lathun and "Lil Jon" Smith (whoever the fuck you are), you fucked up something that was impossible to fuck up!
Delaath
Agree totally, I had a listen and switched it off after 3 seconds.
Prince Persie
my run out repeats SET YOU FREE as it spins and spins. anyone else's do that?
Yanthyr
Yep! Endless runnout! And also have the off center B-Side...CRAZY.
Leniga
Thankfully I did find a correct B-side version MP3 file that is adequate - even though I think my ears play tricks on me if I listen too hard and I start to wonder...
Justie
Affirmative. But also, the instrumental side is jacked up because grooves are not centered properly - to the point where the speed of the track oscillates faster, then slower. The stylus probably travels about an inch back and forth (from the center out to the edge) with each revolution of the record. Very disappointing.
LadyShlak
Mine, too. so awesome.
HelloBoB:D
Yes sir, endless runout vocal with locked groove.

Planet Patrol's "Play At Your Own Risk" was recorded on the same night as "Planet Rock", using the same multitrack tape as a base. But while it was born of the same futuristic 808 beats that launched electro into the minds of suburban youth around the world, the track had a decidedly different feel. Robie, Baker and company planted mesmerizing orchestral sounds and yearning, melancholic vocals into the mix. It was the bridge between the doo-wop harmonies of Motown's heyday and the emerging planet's of electro and freestyle - in fact, Planet Patrol was originally a vocal quintet from Boston called "The Energetics". "Play At Your Own Risk" was the track of choice for millions of breakdancers using cardboard mats as springboards to whirl and propel themselves towards the sky in a hypnotic mass of funk and energy. Hip Hop has never again reached such heights of diversity and originality.

No matter how much coffee was drunk, I still can't imagine how both 'Planet Rock' and 'Plat At Your Own Risk' were recorded on one night. The rough backing tracks, maybe...
Inabel
Interesting experiment to mix the disco-style vocals and fantastic sound, containing elements from classical 'Planet Rock'... Arthur Baker realy riched the highes peak. This tune (esp. it instrumental version) rocks the danceflours since 1980s.
