"Longtime followers of my blog and exploits know that I’m a hopeless romantic. It comes and goes in waves, but I’m generally a fan of wonderful things like humans loving each other, and romance.So what exactly is Love Letters? It’s a super emotional record for me. To everyone else, it might just sound like softer chops and loops than my usual stuff, but each track is a reflection of a collection of specific experiences and encounters with a girl, with God, and everyone involved in this period of my life.
The samples have been more intentionally chosen, and I’ve been playing with less rigid production techniques and arrangements. Each of the five songs marks something mundane that my previous attitude toward life and human relationships prevented me from appreciating the simple magic within.
