If you haven't given this album a proper listen you are doing yourself a huge disservice. From the onset the listener is notified that this isn't going to be a genre specific cruise through the neighborhood. There will be some harsh distortion that will challenge your ears as well as your speakers. But just as you are at the point where the tension is becoming too much the next track submerses you in a tranquil sea of tones washing away all the anxiousness. This Shows the artists range and by taking this approach makes the distortion even more brutal and ambient washes even more soothing through contrast. Underrated only because not that many people discovered this album in '97.
