Lil Wayne - Tha Carter II mp3 album

A true classic rap album from one of the most influential artists of the 2000s.

I can't believe all the other ratings are 4 or 5 stars. Some of the songs are good, but the majority is forgettable even for '00s rap, easily the worst decade so far for rap music. The majority of my distaste for the album comes from the pressing, though. I had to crank up my stereo and speakers all the way to hear the music properly - l'd say that full blast was a 4 on a loudness scale from 1 to 10. Way, way too quiet of a pressing for this kind of music. I snapped it up a couple weeks ago because it was selling at a bookstore for $10 less than Discogs' lowest price, now I feel that even that was a waste of money. If you want to hear gangsta rap done right, go listen to a classic of the genre like The Chronic or Illmatic, or a lesser-known gem like Method Man's Tical 0: The Prequel. Hell, even Jay-Z has much better work than this, such as The Black Album or The Blueprint 3. What a disappointment.
