This "anthology" compilation overlooks Doris Day's studio album releases and instead focuses on her soundtrack recordings, half of which (most of disc one) were recorded with bands.At least five recordings were previously unreleased in the U.S. (tracks 1-5, 2-9, 2-17, 2-20 and 2-23).
All tracks are monoaural except tracks 2-18 to 2-28 (stated on the back sleeve: this is the only correct mention printed on the release of the actual track listing of this compilation).
Back sleeve and booklet of this release show CD1 having 23 songs and CD2 having 25, which is incorrect: tracks 1-3, 1-9, 1-17, 2-6, 2-16 and 2-23 have been completely omitted from the credits (ghost tracks).
