I know I'm pretty much alone in this opinion, but I believe this album to be the best thing Beck has ever done. Keep in mind, I haven't heard anything since Midnite Vultures. Should I really bother though? That was a pretty crappy album. I mean, how many people bothered to pick up any Beach Boys albums after they heard Smiley Smile? I rest my case. Anyway, I love this album and wish he had done four more just like it.

Beach boys released like 6 amazing albums after Smiley Smile. Beck has released 5 or 6 good albums since Vultures, I wouldn’t say amazing though. Worth listening to if you’re a fan of his.
Vizuru
Midnite vultures is amazing (i love this one too). You are doing yourself a disservice by not listening to that

Indeed, this is not only the greatest Beck album, but one of the greatest albums of all time. Calvin Johnson really helped this album shine. I wish he had been on future Beck albums. Cyanide Breath Mint, Force field, painted eyelids, and atmospheric conditions are my favorite songs on the album. But I like every single one. The Back to Black LP is the version to get. It has a whole second record of unreleased tracks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I too love this album, but there's no denying Sea Change's mood - the dichotomy of styles is hard to conceive!
