Beautiful audio sound quality & musical performance. FYI, this album and 3 others are available on CD as "The Signature Series" on the Alam Madina (AMMP) label (excellent digital remasters).Vinyl audiophile dorks only:So, is this 45rpm "audiophile" pressing version worth the extra cost & effort vs. the 33 rpm version? I hear and measure (with the Audacity app) about 10% more dynamic range and upper-frequency range toward the inner third of each side. Upper frequencies strong through 23khz*. That said, the 33 rpm Connoisseur Society (CS) pressings are so awesome that you may not notice a difference with all but the most premium vinyl playback system. All twelve of the 1966-74 CS vinyl releases of sarod master Ali Akbar Khan that I've listened to are superb: 100% analog chain recordings engineered by Brian G. Jones (four Sony C37A tube condenser microphones, custom Ampex 2-track 1/2" 30 ips), huge dynamic range & frequency response, no audible tape hiss, very quiet pressings with no drop-outs on any of the three 1960's CS albums I own. If you're familiar with flamenco guitarist Manitas de Plata's legendary 1960's CS recordings and vinyl pressings, this is the same production team.*Grado Silver phono cartridge, Dual 1219 turntable, Audacity app @ 24-bit/96khzMy music performance rating: 5 starsMy recording & vinyl pressing rating: 5 stars
