i'm also not happy with the vocals part and like the music better, just think:the artist had the freedom to make his music like and with who he wanted in that time!we do not have to buy or like only respect the thinking part of any artist!Klaus Schulze is a great artist like many others in the electronic genre!
Swift Summer
Klaus Schulze with vocals, hmmm... Track 1 is one of Klaus's better explorations of interplay between his synth and Tiepold's Cello, best accomplished on 'Audentity' but very good here. Track 2 starts well but goes downhill when Arthur Brown steps up to the mic., at best let's call that vocal rendition 'average'. The bonus material is rather unusual as Klaus decides to alter the tempo a few times, gasp! Yes I know, this guy is usually immutable on tempo, but this quasi-live offering is rather fun and washes away the odd taste left by 'Shadows Of Ignorance'. Definitely NOT boring!

A tale of two halves. The title track could have come off X with it's soaring strings and voices.A majestic piece of music. Unfortunately the second track is, IMO, a failure. It features the cringe-worthy vocals of Arthur Brown, and is musically uninspiring.

Klaus delivers with a fascinating single with two brilliant tracks. The haunting and ethereal quality of Dune fills one's headphones with a fascinating layered soundscape of synthesizers, in a neo-electro/quasi-classical sensation. Shadows of Ignorance, with the percolating synths and minimal electro drums builds in as the vocoder haunts the listener...Then, the poetry comes forth with the enlightening words, while more synths and some fantastic acoustic instrumentation works through the track. This music reminds me of Tangerine Dream, Rus Stewart, and Harold Budd, and all music of this sort, I have been a huge fan of as long as I can recall. This is one of my fave records in my collection, a timeless classic!
