I got myself this one. Despite it being a double LP, it's a normal 33rpm. Loudness is comparable to most LPs, even though you may think that 12 minutes of running time per side would allow them to make the grooves a bit wider. The waveform seems to clearly have more headroom than the CD; the CD version is mostly brickwalled whereas the waveform of the LP goes "beyond" that which is limited away on the CD version. Sound seems a bit muffled compared to the CD, the highs don't come through as strongly - I find it relaxing to the ears. A part of the muffled sound surely is an artistic decision, as the theme of the album in general seems to be kinda ... mellow and contemplative, despite being metal/rock. I personally enjoyed it, although I expected something slightly different (my reference was the Otta album). On the other hand it does not seem to me like a conscious decision to lose that bit of detail in the highs (mostly occupied by the drums (high-hats I think) on the LP version. LPs in general tend to have less highs, but maybe they should have compensated for it. On the other hand, maybe my cheapo record player just isn't good enough ...... as for the music, I like it, but occasionally the theme of the wailing voice setting in with a seemingly ever-similar style tires me a little. I would have welcomed at least one track that breaks the rule.

Hey The_CryBaby (lol), I just checked and have no particularly noticeable crackle at the start of side D. Only some kind of very basic static and normal hiss or very mild crackle that is typical for any LP and not audible as soon as the music starts. Not more than on any other side.

Hi, i have a question. I've got also a copy of the golden vinyl, at the start of Side D are some crackles / noises. Played it one time. Do you have the same mistakes?Greetings, The_CryBaby
