absolute barnstormer of a tune first heard this played by dj vertigo in early 92
Anarasida
The vocal sample of "I Need Relief" comes from Sounds Of Blackness "The Pressure" (1991).
Daizil
Does anybody know where the "I Need Relief" sample is from? I've been trying to find a track with that sample from late 1991 (much lighter house track and not "Pride"). Can't find it anywhere at all!
SARAND
Thanks for the suggestions but unfortunately not - have tried a couple of track ID forums too but still no luck

Huge Tune back in the day and great to mix with ! Sample laden tune that just drops in & out with different rhythms and samples all the way through injecting different energy but keeping the same vibe. Rocked many a dance floor back in its day & still enjoy listening too it today. As well as having the 12" I have this on a Daz Willot set from the Entropy days, fantastic set!Worth grabbing a copy if your an Old Skool fan !

Very proud to have this floor filler platter (along with other Edge & Rabbit City releases) in my collection. It was and still is brilliant!

Gordon Matthewman made Rabbit City records with M.Wells. Gordon Edge (Matthewman) is 'Trumpet Man'. He is the main artist and, I think, owner of these labels.'Cutter' - by 'Blow', the first of Gordon's big releases came out on Ten Records in 1991. Wells featured a lot on their earlier releases. Edge records tends to be techno/hardcore. The Edged record sleeves are the trademark of all of his labels and never have dog-eared corners when old. They can also be easily spotted in any collection. XVX is another of these labels and leans towards a more trancey/housey sound. His work is fabulous. I suspect the different names of these labels are for legal reasons. In a samplers world, don't put your eggs in 1 basket. His work is easily recognisable by the rounded sleeve corners anyway. He has many pseudonyms and submitted only a picture of an alien grey to Mixmag as his profile picture ... He is a keen Speedway motorcyclist, an amazing trumpet player and a really nice guy. He is very approachable and would be happy to answer your questions, I reckon. I hope this has been helpful. D. Gilchrist (Duncan Disorderly, dj). P.S Where is his sample "I need relief" from?

Sample is from Clivillés & Cole ‎– Pride (A Deeper Love)

Get exactly that feeling, cool tune, sounds like Razor Boy & Mirror Man in style, who did "Beyond Control", also on Rabbit City... Conspiracy? HMMMM?

This record borrows extremely heavily from another tune on an affiliated label: Edge Records *002 - The track SF Acid Mix by DJ Edge. I'm willing to bet that this record was produced by the same person, at the same time: it's basically 3 different remixes of the same track, on two seperate records under different names (Edge records & Rabbit City were both run by Gordon Matthewman aka DJ Edge) - Very strange way to do things, but all in all a massive tune!! :)

Here in Dallas, TX we had the dance music radio show Edge Club. Every once in a while, you'd hear the tracks you mentioned. There's a track I'm looking for though.... it sounds like the rabbit city stuff, but it had a fast synth piano loop and a vocal sample like "i want it to last beyond today". any ideas? just found the track that i'm thinking of - cameo - money - joey beltram hardsell mix
