James from Dinas, Pembrokeshire, Wales who like so many others like him in the eighteenth century decided to leave the hard working country life and go and find a better way of life in America, instead of heading for the industrial south and the coal mines. In 1876 many European and other countries migrated to America, along with William who spent time in Chicago until the "Big Fire" when he joined the "Seventh Cavalry" and fought in what is now called "Custer's Last Stand" where he met Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse. The Welshman who was part of some of America's greatest and famous battles became part of American mythology. America, the land of dreams. "...but every dream has it's price".
