"C" HAS ALL the earmarks of a timeless classic. It's eleven songs weave in and out of traditional rock (never hanging around long enough to tag; proving to me that invention is still possible within the confines of convention); emphatic with adventurism's bursting with embellishments other bands like the Rachel's or the Boxhead Ensemble make whole records out of. Far outreaching 1995's self-titled release, this elucidate record blends just the right measures of strings (showcasing the superb violin and viola of Julie Lui), percussion (Doug Scharin the "backbone" getting help from Brian Deck and Ben Massarella on a couple of songs) and contemporary guitar muscle - to make this one wicked wonder that comes to a climatic boil with lead singer/guitarist Curtis Harvey singing along side his mother on "Farther Along." Kirsten Mccord is no longer with the band, but the drama still is. An important rock recording to be sure.

No, and it's a huge shame. I want to start a record label, just to release this.
