Green Velvet has always been the jokester of the house community and with WALK IN LOVE, he gleefully skewers self-important house tracks, instead focusing on a deep groove (like on "UFOs") and hypnotic synths. There's no laugh-out-loud tracks here, but the humor is still intact, as on "Bathroom." But as "War on the Saints" gurgles into life, it becomes clear that his primary instinct is to make you dance, from the gospel house of "Victory" to the rock riffs on "Come Back." "Pinup Girl" closes the album with a solid groove, so that you can dance, not walk, in love.
