This was the beginning of the 2000's decade, and what we are presented with are some highly memorable and great 'dancing-club style' anthems. While there are just a couple of filler tracks, this was so much more satisfying than I expected. The previous edition 'The Best Club Anthems 2000...Ever!' showcased the best tracks from the end of the 1990's, and in it was great. I had high expectations when I purchased this online, as I did see the track-list elsewhere and thought it would be impressive.The first CD is... well holy hell. I love it! We're given a great track-list with a great continuity, such as the 'proper' version of Fragma's Toca's Miracle, the wonderful Heart Of Asia by Watergate, Paul Van Dyke's Tell Me Why, Southside Spinner's Lovestruck, Chicane's Don't Give It Up, Moloko's The Time Is Now, Sash's Just Around The Hill - a personal favourite of mine, Sunburst's Eyeball (Eyeball Paul's Theme) and Blank & Jones' After Love to name a few. They also added two Yomanda edited hits and one from Yomanda themselves - being Sunshine. I honestly enjoyed these, especially Bag It Up which had a really good rhythm to it. I cannot really describe the amazing piece of work in this until you give it a listen.The second disc is inferior, as the majority of the first half of the CD consists of 'filler' hits that I have never heard of. However, it picks up with Artful Dodger & Romina Johnson's Movin' Too Fast, which is a nice inclusion along with Spiller's Groove Jet, Superfunk's The Young MC, Billie Piper's Day & Night, Tin Tin Out's Let Me Guess and Novy vs. Eniac's Pumpin'. Then, we have the last six tracks of the CD - a full blown out mixture of club and trance anthems, some which I've never heard in my life. All of them are noteworthy, particularly You Put Me In Heaven With Your Touch by Rhythm Of Life, Follow Me by Lange, Embrace by Agnelli & Nelson and my favourite - The Nightfly by Black & Jones. So in all honesty, it is not as consistent as the first CD as it misses much of the quantity of high quality tunes seen on the first one, but for what was good, is excellent. Bottom line, I highly recommend this album as it is high in quality, and in quantity of tracks presented. I have never really had a problem with the 'Best Club Anthems... Ever' series and this is no exception.
