Prince Persie
I Agree with everyone here. Beautiful all the way around. Of course the music is classic, that goes without saying. Quiet, high quality vinyl pressed in the best pressing plant in the US, imho. Thick, glossy, gatefold jacket. Definitely the version to get if you can't get your hands on the original.
lifestyle
Excellent reissue. The pressing quality is top notch, with no trace of any surface noise like another reviewer said. Well worth paying the $20 something it goes for if shelling out approximately $100 for a decent quality first pressing is a little too steep for you. The music is equally top notch. There isn't a bad song on the album, with my favorites being Celestial Blues, Vietcong, and The Planets
heart of sky
I fully agree that it is an excellent album of music. I'd like to comment on the vinyl reissue. Pressing quality may be a crap shoot if the above reviewer has a clean copy. My copy of the 2017 reissue, obtained new and apparently pristine, is full of surface noise. There are also sudden and brief volume level spikes. (I just spent time cleaning up a recording of the vinyl.) I've heard some of the music mastered for digital release before, so I don't believe the noise is from the tapes or anything and the vinyl certainly isn't dusty. In any case, the sleeve is beautiful and the music is awesome and well worth enduring a few pops. I was just a bit disappointed the pressing didn't live up to the music and packaging.
bass
Bought on a whim and it sounds just excellent. Not the faintest hint of any surface noise between tracks. Sick music.
