The neat thing about the artwork on this release is that the words of the English language are printed on one side of the sleeve in super-fine-micro-print. Not sure if they got all of the words that exist but it seems pretty comprehensive. I often wonder how much money the good people at Paper spent on the artwork of the catalogue. Maybe these sleeves were to boost sales or build the label's identity with the record buying public or perhaps they simply wanted kick-ass sleeves. Who knows? I for one was quick to rush out to the shops when the latest Paper record came out, eager for a picture sleeve copy. You had to be quick: Paper stuff flew out of the record shops fast (well, in Canada anyway)! I love Paper sleeves in particular and that's a major reason why I own the entire Paper catalogue in near mint condition. Predictably, I became hooked around release 22, when the artwork evolved to full pictures and was crushed when the plain black / generic sleeves were used on releases 79 and beyond. I recall being distressed about the lack of artwork: "they can't afford it anymore and the label is going to fold". Was I right (eventually)? The latter shift in artwork did, however, cause me to go back through the catalogue and listen more closely to the music. Do I possess a true love of Paper music or merely an obsession with the sleeves? Sleeves or not, I miss having new Paper records to buy.
