Finally picked this up after years of searching - not in as good condition as I had hoped but the music outshines the condition. If you want a true sub-bass workout and have the speakers to handle it, then this is an e.p. of outstanding craftsmanship. My standard test for bottom end speaker spectrum would often be Explicit Bass on back2basics but that pales in comparison. This has colours and dynamics other producers can only dream of - And as the previous reviewers have stated, this was the Jungle that you hoped would develop from the 93-94 sound. If you see it, DON'T buy it ---------- I'm after a better copy ;)

a practically unheard of LP from the Kane, which I believe was one of his last (if not his last) releases. strictly badboy amen junglism. expert sampling, rumbling basslines and high velocity cut up breaks made this release a preemptive strike on a new type of jungle sound which really turned into the jump up style of 96-97. however this in all respects was a much, much better example than what was to come. Kane was a leader. and what less would we expect? none. top notch production as always.

How anyone rated this lower than a stark 5/5 I thankfully haven't a clue. This is the absolute best 8 track jungle ep ever (could be considered an album honestly). What more is there to say? Every single track is a killer. Can anything really top Gangstress (short answer? NO!)? Besides the aforementioned track; what is more gangsta than Stick'em Up? Deep Jungle gets the rewind every single time I play it and yes the girls love it! The deeper cuts (Forcefield/Mother Earth) are hyptnotic and absorbingly deep. Jungle Levels, Bass Boom and Born To Roll showed us where jump-up could have went. This was the absolute apex of 1995/96 jungle. After this was released jungle, shockingly, came to an abrupt end. I thank the british jungle masters that White House had the foresight to put this out and it wasn't lost on some DAT in the forgotten and "could have been" annuals of junglistic history.
