This is an incredible box set, been a fan since the release of Warsaw Ghetto, Pylon records has done justice to Nitzer Ebb's catalogue. I have both versions & don't hear any surface noise, , vinyl without music has surface noise, I keep reading on all discogs releases. I dont think the price for a box set has anything to do with surface noise. They clearly had to dish out lot of money to get this license, these are all expanded edition, in double vinyl and gatefold, non of the originals where like this , so this is Big Treat for NE fans. You can also purchase the CDs which have even more tracks. The Box itself is worth the weight in gold, could not have been cheap to make. I would give this a 5 STAR RATING.

I got my Bowie Box set for Christmas and every record except the last one in the batch has surface noise, but the mastering is incredible. Mastering of records is much better now than before but manufacturing is another issue. I have several copies of NE stuff that have surface noise from back then, I always purchased 2 copies of everything. If you have a clean copy with no surface noise of Belief US Pressing from 1988, I would love to purchase from you.

I’ve got the original release records and 12” singles that don’t sound like these. I don’t hear anything near the noise I do on every record in this set.

I have to chime in and agree that the quality of the box, printing, reproduction, remastering is just superb! WOW Great job!

Pylon has done hell of job here, the quality of the box and liner notes are amazing. My records are straight on both box sets, and they sound fantastic and I have spent some days comparing them to the originals and these actually sound better, there is more bottom end and not as crisp. I have originals from every country on the albums and 12", and they weigh around 110 to 120gram, these all weigh 140 -150gram. I actually like that they added the 12" mixes, as those mixes really defined the band. Just like DM they had a ton of them. Just for folks who dont know, NONE of the original single albums were double vinyl, also none of them had varnish, UV embossing to the extent that these have, Showtime and Big Hit did have spot Uv Varnish. Warping can happen, but that is not going change anything. I have brand new DM reissues that have some warping, easy to fix. If you want the full extent of the catalog then just buy the Cds. Five Star Rating!!!

You are correct, but that release does not have any bonus tracks, it is simply the original album release, spread out over 4 sides. The 2018 version has all the albums tracks including Warsaw Ghetto and the 12" mixes for Join In The Chant (Burn), which is the mix that became famous, Let Your body Learn 12" the 6minute version, Murderous Instrumental, and mix 2 of Fitness to Purpose, and the Metal mix of Join in The Chant, which lot of DJs would drop it over other records since it is a very bare mix.

Just a little correction. That Total Age was available as a limited edition 45rpm double album. I have a copy and it sounds fantastic. https://www.discogs.com/Nitzer-Ebb-That-Total-Age/release/98564

This is one of the highest quality boxsets I've ever seen. Pylon knocked this one out of the park. More importantly, the pressings sound superb.

Industrial Complex is owned by Major Records in Germany, the vinyl and all the colors associated were put out by Emmo Bizz a German label. Pylon Records has nothing to do with that release.https://www.discogs.com/Nitzer-Ebb-Industrial-Complex-/release/8068855
Windbearer
Pylon put out IC in at least 3 colors and black.

Amen. Not only was it long overdue, it's also just so gorgeously, carefully done. Exactly what Nitzer Ebb deserves.

My copies are wonderful and straight, it can happen. My Roxy Music half speed mastered box set, that I paid a ton for has warpage and surface noise, and it was cut at Abbey Road and made in Germany. Surface noise can happen, its medium of vinyl. Also correct me if wrong but Pylon never release Industrial Complex that record is owned by Major Records in Germany. Clearly a lot of effort was put in to this Box set and its was mastered at Cohearant Audio, they do some of the best cuts for Blue Note, etc.
Exellent
my LPs are all warped--every single one of them; also some surface noise on at least 2 albums. Falls short in the execution in terms of quality control but media looks wonderful. Pylon's previous IC pressings (red and white) also have warping issues.
