Dexys Midnight Runners - Don't Stand Me Down mp3 album

Got a still sealed copy of this record last month. The vinyl has rare lighter spots that look almost like fingerprints. For a new record it has too many cracks. Playing the record is no fun.Faulty!!!!!!

Got this record today and am wondering if it contains the original mixes or the ones from the 1997 or 2002 remaster/remixes? I have never heard this album before so am curious which version I am now going to hear first..

There had been elements of theatricality in Dexy's music from the start but it exploded across this record with Kevin and other band members seeming having casual conversations from which the songs emerge and back into which they can also retreat. Anyone got the Dexys Don't Stand Me Down RSD reissue on maroon vinyl and found it faulty according to Banquet Records? I got 2 but haven't listened.

Mine sounds fine.

Not purple to these eyes. Looks maroon. Nice shade though.

And the colour reproduction on the cover is grey and a bit murky.

Possibly one of the most under-rated albums of all time
