Another compilation from 3D Vision....this time compiled by the one and only CPU(Samy), I definitely have high hopes for this one almost ALL of these artist are on my favorites list: 1. Absolum starts off this comp. in great fashion. I like to think of his style(much like CPUs)as controlled chaos. His productions only get better and better the more I hear from him. This track will definitely be complimenting the peak night time lasers. 2. Theoreme back again from Japan. The amount of sweeps, FX, and melodies he layers during the main part of this song is unbelievable. For all those who doubt the power, energy, and emotion of full on….Theoreme - RAM proves them wrong, BIG TIME. 3. CPU gets the title track duties. Starting off with a sample referencing to the comps title. Samys offering is a bit tamer. But after the main breakdown and the return of the beginning sample the track starts pumping back up to pace. First with a few bars of effects and what sounds like a beefed up bassline, the track keeps picking up more and more layers as it goes, strangely enough the track ends almost abruptly. 4. Azax Syndrom offers a nice track heavy on the metallic sounds. Definitely adds an eerie atmosphere which is perfect. A second companion lead comes in that gives this track a definite groove for the whole last half of the song. 5. Inner Action smack dab in the middle. After the first few minutes I suspect Inner Action is going offer up the first breather track. The sample in the main break is definitely a night time vibe sample. Through out the whole track we get the (what I like to call)ping-pong effect that has been popular for the past 3 or 4 years but Roy and Nico do not make it the focus of the track. We get a nice melody that interacts perfectly with bassline 6. Flexable with track six. Very much in the CPU vein. The bassline heavy and in front and the FX lines psychedelic as hell. A lot of left to right panning/juggling going on around the middle of the track. This effect sounds phenomenal on a large sound system. Where this track lacks in the frenzy aspect it makes up in the dance factor. 7. Sirius Isness with track seven, quite possible one of the brightest up and comers out right now in my opinion. After a stretched and altered sample for intro this track jumps into the flow of the cd and strangely enough the use of congas sounds perfect with this track. This song has a very massive sound with changing bassline and the effects changing also…stretching, altered resonance, etc. Killer track, plus…if you can fit congas in a full on track you are on to something. 8. Mekkanikka almost bringing us home close to the end with track eight. Intro sample, heavy on the delay, the beat kicks in. The sample is Samuel L. Jackson from the movie PULP FICTION, strangely enough it is from the conversation about hamburgers. A pretty good track but after the previous 7 powerhouses it loses some presence. 9. Puzzle bringing us in for the landing with track nine. A nice bassline, some ocean wave style sweeps and some high mid-range, low bass EQd effects play up to a main sample of a women speaking about DNA in the human body and the sort. This song is much in the style of the previous Mekkanikka track and somewhat like the INNER ACTION track. A good closing track for a nice smooth ending for the CD. In all a great, great compilation heavy on the layers of effects in the 3d Vision night time style. A good variation between insane night time tracks and very danceable tracks but all tracks do have a definite dance your ass off vibe. 3D Vision once again does not disappoint me. Definitely worth the buy. I am proud that no cheesiness enters these artists minds at any time and they stay true the name.... PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE.
