Jesus, maroko I could very easily sum up this record in a sentence, there's no actual music on it for a start. Quality pair of tech DJ tools from Steve Rachmad, Dutch artist. Percussive beat workouts handy to have in any box of bangers. Has the added advantage of being pressed at 45rpm, a plus for quality and versatility. Well worth 68p of anyones hard-earned!

yeah maroko is TLDR king...the most boring reviews on discogs
Yellow Judge
I don't have the illusion of having heard Steve Rachmad's complete body of work, but making a judgment based on what has made a stop on my record player, this has got to be the most hard-line 12" to have emerged out of his studio, or whoever's when he generously let Steve do his thing in it. With the exception of that Scorp release which has the epochal club anthem New Energy, I don't think I would have ever attributed a monster tune like Filter Madness to mr. Rachmad if blind folded. The impact effect is immediate and sudden, this one rolls like an imminent peril overhead that just causes all around tectonic features.Well, this is going to be a paradox because, despite the obvious function, structure and drive of this track, a sensible description is like trying to explain to your friend over a long distance telephone call how you're watching three nitrogen oxide fueled bulldozers pulverize your house. First, he wouldn't believe you and second, you'd spend a fortune trying to depict something one just has to see (or hear, in this case) for himself to believe. This started out as a feather brained mission, but the subsequent impossibility to put sounds into words, brought by large scale discrepancies and lack of balance between my linguistic ability and the presented aural instruments of torture has lead to my resignation.Basically, the A side is the sickest sickness a sick mind can sickly imagine. Techno wise, naturally. The torch bearer of torch welding techno artillery. I'd go as far and claim this track will cause total disabilities during any party because god almighty wouldn't know what to drop after, unless you've got two copies and do the only thing that makes sense - complement it with And That's 2!!Obscene EQ wizardry, molestation charges against voluntary filterslaughter, drum machine intoxication and overall production management techniques which leave the competition out of business. This court finds the defendant guilty, guilty by association with filthy, rusty and deviant machines! The sentence is a life time spent inside a studio churning out sequels to this release, and sending them to my house.Enough of the soap opera material, but if stuff like Inigo Kennedy's Preliminary Statements A1, Reeko's early releases on Mental Disorder or Speedy J's Pannik and Actor Nine make you lose it, then I have no idea what have you been doing under that stone for all this time, and how did you manage to even find one after Filter Madness swept your nation clean?Bottom line is: I am glad Steve never followed this up with anything similar, because in terms of energy and compressed concentration, this can hardly be topped, even by a master craftsman like himself. If there is anybody out there questioning his dance floor/club credentials, and if the releases under the Ignacio and Scorp guises didn't quite convince you, let me help you clear some doubts, and point the finger to where it's at... Here!
