Someone has been offering cheap copies on various groups, either a lot have surfaced or this has been counterfeited
Tygolar
Man these things are popping up everywhere suddenly... price should go waaaaaaay down!
Kinashand
Apparently a box of 500 copies was just found today!
Kigul
500 copies sounds a bit far fetched, i wouldn't be surprised if there were only 500 copies ever made.
Doomblade
No Way!! Damn, lucky person who found the box!! I hope some copies will find their way to discogs!!

Definitely not from 1967. The only source saying so was a random Youtube video. This single was featured on the early psych comp "Psychedelic States: Georgia in the 60s." I have a copy of this CD, and the accompanying booklet states the single comes from Fall 1968. On the other hand, some people are claiming 1970 based off matrix runout numbers. The 45cat page just got updated to say 1970, but the rateyourmusic page still lists 1968.I don't know if the single's from 1968 or 1970, but it's definitely not from 1967.
Moogugore
released 1967; plastic thunder is a really very heavy tune for that time
Xlisiahal
That's really interesting maxmyndblown....that would blow the theory behind them being the "first heavy metal" band (as they sound very Blue Cheer influenced) thanks for the info, do you have any more?
Molace
http://www.45cat.com/record/6809think it was recorded back in 1967 and released a year later. you're welcome
GoodLike
it would have been but .... this 45 wasn't released until the end of 1970. It was pressed up in October 1970, per the PRP matrix #.
