These are some of the earliest recordings of BR5-49. On March 10, 1995, the guys packed up their instruments after playing their normal marathon set at Robert's Western World and headed to Music Row to be the first ever musical guests on The Road Gang with Dave Nemo. The all-night trucker show had recently moved to Nashville and wanted to take advantage of some of the local music. The four-piece band (Don Herron had not yet joined) crammed into the tiny studio and played around the single microphone. The reaction was so great, they asked BR5-49 to return. On June 16, 1995 they did, but this time, it was a quintet. Don Herron had since joined and was adding his signature fiddle, steel and mandolin licks. These recordings offer a chance to hear the evolution of the band in it's earliest stages.

These shows were taped off of AM radio and the sound quality reflects that. The band loved it because it sounded like old time radio. Country music the way it used to was....
