This NEEDS a repress! Anybody know why the planned Vinyl Lovers Reissue was not done?

An online record shop proprietor (from whom I'd pre-ordered a copy) told me it was due to "difficulties with one of the artists" in obtaining licensing for the release. He didn't name the individual concerned, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was Klaus.

Like J Cope says in Krautrocksampler - strange decision to reisue this album in such an expensive edition, considering its vital nature as a wide-ranging, freewheeling kosmische classic. This is the one where the Cosmic Couriers really let loose on an expansive double album of divine cosmic utterances, drum-machine funk, free-form psychedelia, folky acoustisms and heads-down burn-outs in the Ash Ra Tempel style. As I type there's an original vinyl copy for over £1,000 and even this CD set is going for over £100. Ridiculous. An important album in the krautrock canon which should be heard alongside the Cosmic Jokers and Ash Ra Tempel albums.... although it's not really comparable to either. The themes and styles are too far-reaching and wide-ranging to discuss easily without doing a track by track review. It defeated Cope and it's defeated me. Great album, 5 out of 5.

For money well spent stick with the Cosmic Jokers, or Deuter "D" or the first Agitation Free album here you'll hear plenty of uncompromised unique music, but theres just too much filler here, a bit emperor's new clothes... speaking of which The Emperor in the context of a Tarot deck can be described as a strong, stern traditionalist who sits at the top of his mountain handing out his ideas on expertise and knowledge. The trouble with this figure is his ethos is too far removed with fixed ideas of order and uniformity, all creative serendipidy of "making" art is sacrificed, by removing all the chaos we remove all that is creative. and theres the problem. Tarot contains great musicians working too hard at making a classic. this wasn't easy, and the results are audible.

There's no filler - a wonderful LP - the second french issue on Barclay (with different cover ) is cheaper £30 off ebay.Hopefully abracadava you have changed your mind since 2012 , I understand personnel taste etc but "filler" is not even remotely accurate
