Nardwaur, who has a west coast radio show, talked to the guy who first 'rediscovered' the acetate from a sale in NYC, on his radio show early Jan 2019. He mentioned that there are 14 people listed as owning this acetate, I assume that's a false positive reading. Some people I would imagine buying one of the many bootlegs and entering their version in the original acetate sub.
Naril
Hello, why is these version forbidden to sale? (Mine is a version with a black label).

It's a miracle that so many copies (fourteen currently) have been found of this apparently unique demo

The sound quality on this release/pressing is excellent. I own a 1st press mono of the banana LP and this one competes, and at times even exceeds that proverbial holy grail. Both European Son & All Tomorrow’s Parties are clearer and crispier than the murky original which is all the more surprising as these were demos. The quality on the other tracks are similarly clean, dynamic and possess a traditional analog sound. Only on some tracks where some damage to the acetate is noticeable do we notice a small touch of digital manipulation though it is nothing egregious. For cranky audiophiles who bemoan the lack of decent audio in this much-hyped and phoney “vinyl revival” era, here’s one that will enchant rather than disappoint.

One copy exists, found its way to a St Marks thrift blanket sale from someones attic.Worth ~75kusd.A literal miracle that copy survived 40 years.A rip of it available online if you can't spare the $75,000...

I have a copy of this version with a white label in the center. If anyone is interested in this, please let me know as it is only the one I found on the Internet to have a white Center instead of a black center with the clear green vinyl.
Uylo
I only found out that what we have is VERY rare and that it's also worth upwards of 3/4 Hundred USD.
Wafi
Mine is actually also a white labeled version. Found it in a record store several years back for a pretty reasonable price but I'm not sure if they knew what they had. If you find anything else out about it, let me know.
Eigonn
Does anyone know which acetate is the source for this? Is it the one which is currently on ebay, or Moe Tucker's?
Conjuril
Commercially released copies was ripped from Moe´s copy. . . .
Moswyn
My copy is #5083 so looks like the "5000" figure might be inaccurate.
Carrot
i do have black numbering instead of gold numbers.....gold is black friday release?
Malaris
Gold numbers are for the US RSD day release. The black numbers are probably on the European release.

I have a different matrix:Matrix / Runout (Side A): B0017649-01-A G-2 RA BD06850-01 A1Matrix / Runout (Side B): B0017649-01-B G-2 RA BD06850-01 B1Are your matrices correct?In addition the sleeve and the label seem to give 0602537178407 as the catalogue number.
Crazy
I have this LP and I agree with lancashirearab on all counts. I believe you're both referring to the same edition -- the 2nd string in the markings is on the opposite side and can easily be missed. European EAN must have 13 digits and a 0 is automatically added to 12-digit american UPCs.
Billy Granson
I have an unnumbered copy.
Wrathmaster
Mine is also without a number. I bought it in a record shop in a special RecordStoreDay section.
Steep
I believe the 5,000 made for RSD were numbered, but this was also made available not long after RSD for mainstream stores. Those most recent copies may not be numbered at all.
