Todal
It's hard to express how much this record was a blast back then. Perhaps it was because of the moisty video-clip by Jean-Baptiste Mondino (now a classic 80' visual icon), perrhaps the obsessive synth line, or simply the sensual energy that Axel Bauer put in his words. Of course, the references to Jean Genet, and the sailor universe inspired by the "Querelle" movie made it iconic within the gay community, but this strange mix of synth pop, soft rock and "Chanson Française" was in itself a truly strange and appealing object.
