P.E.P.E. - Shadilay mp3 album

Why aren't there any vinyl versions? You can't find any anywhere on the internet, and only a few listings from a while back. I don't plan on going to italy to track a version down anytime soon, please help

I was looking for Skrewdriver records - how did I end up here?

Shadilay has a great smooth intro and a nice chorus. Manuele Pepe also has a great voice for this type of music (I am curious about some of his other releases, but it seems they are largely just romantic ballads and "europop" type music). The instrumentation is a little generic, but it is otherwise above average Italo. The version on the A-side of this 7" is much preferred to the 12" versions imo. Unfortunately, it has become a meme due to a series of coincidences, which has somewhat ruined the flavour if you know what I mean. Just look at the other comments here. People talking about whether Pepe is racist, or not... This is irrelevant to the music here. When did Italo-Disco become political? (Terms that I never though I'd see in relation to an Italo track: "non-logic lefties", "alt-right", "white supremacy", "swastika", "Clinton", "Trump", "heil, "nazi", "stormf*g", "1488", "anti-defamation league", "anti-semitic", "blind masses", "racist"... Well, except for maybe that one Allan Dee record...) Ffs. I guess you could say it gives Italo more exposure, but I'm not sure this is the exposure that it needs.

Sourced from a low-bitrate lossy vinyl rip, with poor noise reduction applied and then compressed. Avoid these 2017 "digital" re-releases completely if you can.

Similar to the extended vocal version, extremely poor sound quality on this one. Everything above 11 kHz has been removed, and on top of that, compression (that introduced noticeable clipping) has been applied.

Again, taken from a lossy vinyl rip. This one has quite noticeable noise reduction artifacts apart from the obvious sound quality loss due to the lossy compression applied to it. These aren't even sourced from high-bitrate lossy copies, they sound like someone downloaded them from YouTube, applied (poorly executed) compression and uploaded them to a digital distribution service.

As evidenced by the comments below, this song has recently become a popular meme in white supremacy internet forums because of its association with pepe the frog.

I think it's unfair to label everyone who came here from a popular meme as a white supremacists. There were many people that has used Pepe The Frog before, even Katy Perry used the magic of the frog at one point! Just because a small group of racist assholes online have used the meme doesn't mean the meme itself is racist. The whole joke about this record is that it just so happens to have the name of a popular meme and the fact that the record has a picture of a frog holding a magic wand (meme magic, look it up), that's it!

Why saddened? . . .

I am a bit saddened that this nice Italo track is now getting tarnished by Neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

To be fair, I'm only here from the memes. Although I'm not a Stormfag, I love Pepe the Frog and his spicy memes. :P
