It's all in the name. Definite Grooves provide definitive House listening with this 2002 record. Both sides are packed with the kind of Funky House you'd expect of the time. Although, as it's more underground, it has the added bonus of not being too cheesy (or chessy at all, in my opinion). The Definite Mix is this release's original, highlighting many changes throughout the song, despite it's progressive nature. There are many elements that come together, whether it's the passionate ad-lib vocals, accompanying guitars, or rhythmic fill sections. It has both a dreamy and seductive nature, as you'd expect from the title. The flip side is more simplistic, mainly focusing on the alternate rhythm arrangement, but again delivering a dreamy rhythmic vibe. If you're a fan of Joey Negro, Stonebridge and the like, you should certainly seek this one out. My favourite Funky House tune of all time.
