This is one of the best Black Metal albums in existence in my opinion. With a mixture of atmospheres ranging from seriously aggressive to deeply oppressive, all tied together with flourishes of genuine musical brilliance and a top notch production which lets you in on every vocal/riffing nuance without removing the distortion which is so important to a release like this. If you like serious Black Metal without any frilly bits and you dont own this album then you need to buy it right away. 6 out of 5 stars!
