I have this lp but I don't know if it is 1988 reissue or 2012 version, in matrixes there's something other etched ( some little letters strangely written ).It has not cd but blank inner has shaped corners as shown in pics posted. About 2012 release year, why cd sampler states 2008 C&P (see pics)?

I guess I'm just a warts and all kinda guy... To me this remaster sounds a little too polished and sonically compressed, when compared to the original "flawed" recording...No Wrong No Right...

In my Europe edition - both 2 discs are black and the second disc is also at 33 RPM (side C,D) .
Kulabandis
Is the barcode struck with a black marker? THE promos I have FROM a local radio dj in Utah all have a black line through the barcode done with a black marker.please let me know.
Fhois
Could someone please add the matrixes of this pressing? Thanks!

It's a shame that one of the early documents of grunge by a band that would soon become one of the biggest names in not only that genre but of the '90s as a whole went out-of-print for nearly 3 decades... until now. This re-release and new mix gives the album new life for not only older fans but also newcomers who have been searching for it for so long. While there some elements that may be missed like the little snippet of Sonic Youth's "Death Valley '69" in the Howlin' Wolf cover, "Smokestack Lightning", this is still the definitive way to listen to the first chapter of Soundgarden's career. It still sounds like something that came out of the indie rock scene in the late '80s but Jack Endino knew how to make it sound more fresh with respect.

This re-issue sounds great! Grungy, dark and dirty, but in a good way; a real good way!

What I find interesting is that the second disk of the US version; The Ultramega EP is cut at 45 rpm while the Europe version is at only 33 rpm. Hmm.

Glad I preordered this and received the loser edition. Anyone who's listened to Ultramega OK knows the production is as sterile as any other 80's record. This remaster sounds unbelievably good. Super raw sounding; sounds super similar to the Screaming Life EP. Would definitely recommend to any Soundgarden fan.EDIT: Would also like to state that the red record is not opaque as described. Definitely a solid red
Walianirv
∆∆∆∆∆∆ What he said...it is opaque, not translucent. It is a solid red, in which you can not see through it.
Sorryyy
The record is opaque red. opaque = no light can pass through. i.e., it is solid.

This album is getting a double LP remaster/reissue that will include the original demo EP and will be released by Sub Pop in March (2017). Loser edition is limited coloured vinyl.https://megamart.subpop.com/releases/soundgarden/ultramega_ok_expanded_reissue

The original pressing should have the lest track "one minute of silence "

Does anyone have a picture of the orange wax?? Even better, a comparison of the orange vs the yellow?
GYBYXOH
Two things I noticed about this release.1. Circle Of power is listed as the last song on Side A on both the album label and the cover, but is actually the first song of side B.2. Though "One Minute of Silence" is listed as the last track on both label and cover, it is not on the record.
JoJosho
Anybody have a picture of the orange wax?
Nightscar
I have a version of this on black that I recently bought new at the local record shop. It has the track listing on the side A sticker and a line drawing of a flower on the side B sticker, yellow sticker, red ink. No inserts...and has the marking SST 201 like all the other versions. I'm assuming this is a recent re press, but I couldn't find anything about it on the SST website, or Wikipedia. Anyone have the exact info on it?
Thofyn
SST 201 black needs adding, i'll do it soon.your orange copy should just be added too
Bys
well i have a colored copy but its not red - its clear orange ! what edition is this? have any idea?
JOGETIME
I have the orange (or yellowish) one too. It has the same Cat number SST 201 as the others. Can anyone add it to the list?
