This gem of a an album from Montreal metal heads “Obliveon” is absolutely superb in every way…..technical death metal that reminds one of bands like “Atheist” and “Death”, yet these guys have a clearly original progressive sound and highly proficient musicianship that could easily stand out on itself even without the solid thrash vocals. While the bass mix on the original vinyl & CD releases was somewhat loud and over-the-top, the hyper-rare Canadian “Press Play” master seems to have corrected that minor flaw. An amazing album (and amazingly hard-to-find) !
